An overview of the Sheltered Instruction Training Series is now available on the Texas Gateway. The resource provides information about sheltered instruction and the professional development training series. It also contains a checklist to track progress in completing the courses for 20 CPE hours.

ELPS Academy
This online module provides an understanding of how the English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS) provide cross-curricular second language acquisition essential knowledge and skills for listening, speaking, reading, and writing. As well as, to support a common framework for educators while providing instruction to ELLs in all content area classrooms. (4 CPE hours)

ELPS for Administrators
This online course is designed for campus administrators and will provide an overview for ELPS district implementation requirements, guidance on how to monitor effective instruction for English language learners (ELLs), and offer the ELPS K-12 Leader Pathway checklist tool for classroom observations. ELL Instructional Videos

The ELL Instructional Video series show teachers using strategies from each of the three key areas—affective, linguistic, and cognitive—in an authentic classroom setting. These professional development videos highlight specific affective, linguistic, and cognitive teaching strategies that use language as the means through which content is taught.
